Visible Thinking Approach
Our school employs “The Creative Curriculum,” a research-based curriculum that teaches young children how to be creative, use spontaneity, and acquire the ability to see and use everyday opportunities to help them solve problems, explore new ideas, and find answers to questions.
We also use the “Visible Thinking Approach” in our teaching. This educational methodology, developed by Harvard University School of Education, emphasizes the use of thinking routines and documentation to help make thinking visible in the classrooms; cultivating children’s thinking skills and dispositions.
Thinking dispositions help children become aware of their own thinking, a condition known as “learning how to learn”. This encourages children to become lifelong learners, eager and alert, and able to recognize learning opportunities. It awakens the child's curiosity, creativity, and understanding.
